태화강국제설치미술제
About TEAF
울산시가 광역시로 승격된 2007년에 시작된 태화강국제설치미술제(TEAF)는 울산이 공해 도시에서 환경 도시로 거듭나는 과정의 중심이 된 태화강을 야외 전시장으로 활용하여 해마다 새로운 주제로 설치 미술 작품이 전시된다. 2019년 7월 대한민국 제2호 국가정원으로 지정된 태화강국가정원은 울산을 공업도시에서 수변 생태 정원도시로 완전히 탈바꿈 시켜 자연환경과 산업 생산력이 작동하는 새로운 모델을 제시하는 대표적인 도심 공원이다. 지난 14회 동안 강익중, 홍순명(김데몬), 육근병, 이강소, 최정화, 홍승혜, 홍이현숙, 프롸우케 윌켄(독일), 모리스 프리드먼(벨기에), 패트리샤 레이튼(스코틀랜드) 등 국내외 유명 작가들이 참여한 바 있다.
The Taehwa River Eco Art Festival (TEAF) is the only large-scale international outdoor installation art exhibition in Ulsan, South Korea and has been introduced numerous artists from homes and abroad. TEAF has been held from 2007 to 2019 and it will celebrate its 15th exhibition this year.
Over the 14 years, TEAF exhibited great artwork of Korean and international artists, such as Junghwa Choi, Ik Joong Kang, Patricia Leighton, Maurice Frydman, Frauke Wilken, and more.
